The Hampta Pass trek, which is one of the high altitude treks in the Indian Himalayan region, stretches from an elevation of 2,050 meters to 4,268 meters. The actual trail commences from Prini, which is a few hours of drive from Manali. From Prini the trail leads to Pandu Ropa via the village of Saythen. From a certain point on this trail one can capture the panoramic view of the Kullu valley. The trail from Pandu Ropa continues to Chikka, which is further 5 - 6 hours of trek uphill through thick forest and meadows dotted with colourful flowers. Here you will encounter a few patches of snow. The trek to Hampta Pass then is followed by Balu Ka Gera and thereafter descends to Chattru. From Chattru the route turns to Solang, which is a steep trek downhill and thereafter wheels to Manali.
Duration: 8 Nights - 9 Days
Day 01, Delhi - Manali (Approx 575 kms/14 hrs):
At evening, we will be driven to Manali by Air Conditioner Volvo coach. Overnight trip.
Day 02, Manali:
On coming, you will be met by our representative who will help in shifting you to the hotel in Manali. Rest of the daytime is free time for leisure & touring. You can visit the Hadimba Devi Temple, Tibetan Monastery, old Manali & the mall. Overnight remain in the hotel.
Day 03, Manali - Pandu Ropa:
After breakfast, we will drive to Prini. From Print a 4hrs trek will begin for Pandu Ropa, we shall be walking along the Hampta Nala and shall cross the forest. Enjoy an overnight remain in the camp in Pandu Ropa.
Day 04, Pandu Ropa – Chikka:
In the morning post breakfast, get ready for a regular trek as we will pass through forest and meadow up to the Chikka camp, which is an ideal campsite. Take pleasure of an overnight remain in tents.
Day 05, Chikka - Balu Ka Gera:
Today after having the breakfast, we will trek uphill, a steep climb, to Juara & then successive climb up to the campsite at Balu Ka Gera. Overnight remain in tents.
Day 06, Balu Ka Gera - Hampta Pass:
After having breakfast, we will renounce for Hampta Pass, which has ascent for preparatory 3 km. After 3kms, a descent leads to the Camp Site from where Mt. Deo Tibba & Indrasan are visible along with a large view of the Lahaul Valley. Overnight stay in tents at the campsite near Hampta Pass.
Day 07, Hampta Pass – Chatru:
Today, we will be landing to Chatru Campsite to enjoy an overnight remain in the campsite of Chatru.
Day 08, Chatru – Manali:
After having breakfast, we will renounce from Manali via Rohtang Pass. From Manali, we will transact to Delhi by AC Volvo coach. Overnight trip.
Day 09, Delhi:
Come to Delhi by morning.
